Quick Difference
DIN 125A and ISO 7089 are both common flat washer references used by overseas buyers. In RFQ work, the most important point is not the name alone; it is the exact size, material, finish, hardness target if required, packing and destination. DJ WASHERS keeps DIN 125A as the customer-facing wording because many buyers still search and quote this standard directly.
| Item | DIN 125A | ISO 7089 |
|---|---|---|
| Washer type | Metric flat washer | Metric flat washer |
| Typical buying use | Maintenance, machinery, general fastening | International metric flat washer RFQs |
| Material options | Carbon steel by RFQ | Carbon steel by RFQ |
| Finish options | Plain, black oxide, zinc, hot-dip galvanized, zinc-aluminum by order | Plain, black oxide, zinc, hot-dip galvanized, zinc-aluminum by order |
When To Quote DIN 125A
Use DIN 125A when the drawing, historical purchase record, maintenance list or project specification already names DIN 125A. It is also useful for buyers who purchase by long-standing DIN descriptions and need carbon steel washer production with export packing.
When To Quote ISO 7089
Use ISO 7089 when the buyer or project uses ISO metric references. If the inquiry includes both DIN and ISO names, send the exact washer dimensions or drawing so the sales and production team can confirm the closest manufacturing reference.
